Service Opportunities

Hi Sisters -

There are a few more available slots open for dinners for the Brimhall family - CLICK HERE to sign up.

Also, it would be helpful for the family if Ryleigh (age 4) and Jackson (age 3) were able to have some playdates. Please text Nancy at 801-599-7339 if you would be available to have them over!

Prayers Needed

We'd like to let you all know of some sisters and family's that could use extra prayers right now:

Amanda Brimhall her delivered her baby girl on January 18th at 32 weeks. Her name is Sallie Ramona Brimhall, She’s currently 3.5 lbs and 16 inches long with red hair! Amanda and baby Sallie are doing well for being 9 weeks early. We will be taking some meals into their family though the weeks that they are traveling to and from the hospital to check on Sallie and taking care of their kids at home. You can sign up to help with meals HERE on our Sign Up Genius. Please keep them in your prayers that Sallie will continue to thrive and grow and they can bring her home soon!

Lochie Bryan is home and in hospice and doesn't have long. Her family has gathered around. Lochie cannot have visitors or phone calls at this time, cards are welcome.  Please contact Kim's ministering sister Sharon Smith with questions.

Stella June fell down a couple of stairs on Friday Jan 22 and broke her elbow and has a hairline fracture on her knee cap. She welcomes visitors and phone calls!

And as always, keep sending up prayers for Karen Kadleck, Amy Sybrowsky, and Judy Mills as they continue to battle cancer, and also Jen Talbot with her cancer and that she will be able to come back home.

If you would like to donate canned goods we will collect them from your car at the 1st door.

The items will be delivered to the food bank in the days following the activity as there is a great need at this time.

Pick up a delicious dessert for you and lollipops for each of your children at the 2nd door.

The zoom meeting will begin at 7:30PM.

It will be on the same RS link we have been using on Sundays.

We will have a short message from our RS president, Diane Ebert, and some time for discussion. There will be a few thought-provoking questions with your treat. It is completely optional if you want to share something in the zoom meeting or if you just want to listen. The questions will be related to what we have all been going through this past year.

We all miss each other so much!

This will be a fun and safe way to enjoy a dessert and conversation together.

Thank You from the Empeys

To all of our wonderful friends and neighbors in the Little Cottonwood Canyon, Ksel Drive, and Sunset Ridge Areas -

We are so grateful for you loving support and generous gifts that have boosted our spirits and kept us going in these first days after the loss of our beloved home by fire. This fire took our home on New Years Day 2021, about 8:00 pm, on my birthday. I have always held the new year in high regard with hope of new beginnings and your generous support and kindness will carry us through into this new year and the world will look brighter soon. Today is January 10th and I know we have brighter days ahead.

Thank you and God bless you all!

In loving gratitude -

Laura and Hal Empey and Laura's sister Judy

Save the Date - Stake Relief Society Women's Conference

More information coming soon!
______________________

Last March - 2020 -   excellent workshops had been prepared for the Stake Relief Society Women's Conference, and then COVID hit and the conference was cancelled.

As we are looking over the workshop information, it seems even more relevant now. We are excited to announce that we will be offering these workshops to our sisters via Zoom. They will be on the 4th Thursday of each month, one workshop per month.

Our first will be on January 28th at 7:00 p.m. The topic is " Strengthening family relationships through good and challenging times."

Dr Cory Reich and his wife Amy Reich will be the instructors. They are highly skilled and the information will be excellent.

We will get e-invites out to you to share with the sisters soon, followed by the Zoom links as we get closer.

Let us know if you have any questions - we are excited to be able to share this information with you!
